Join Our Expanding Team: Make a Difference in Mother and Infant Care

Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the lead provider for perinatal services for the Yorkshire and Humber provider collaborative which goes live in April 2025. In autumn 2025 there will be a further bed expansion to the existing and only mother and baby unit in Yorkshire and Humber, which will allow for inpatient care to be provided for mothers and their infants closer to their home.听

As part of this exciting expansion of our Mother and Baby Unit at The Mount in Leeds, we are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and skilled professionals to join our dynamic team. As we grow, we aim to continue providing the highest standard of care to mothers and their infants in a supportive and nurturing environment.

鈥淥ur goal is to work together to improve mental health care for new mums and their families. We want every woman to get the right care, at the right time, in the best place for both her and her baby. By partnering with families and other services, we鈥檙e committed to making sure everyone across Yorkshire and Humber has equal access to the support they need.鈥

Main duties of the job

As Staff Nurse you will deliver high-quality physical and emotional care as part of the multi-disciplinary team to mothers and infants, undertaking assessments of care which lead to the development of detailed and effective nursing and infant care plans. As the primary nurse you will act as a caseload manager working alongside a named nursery nurse and collaborate with outside agencies where it is requested for the wellbeing of either mother or child.听

In this role, you will also provide assistance as part of The Mount鈥檚 rapid response team and act as shift coordinator when on duty.听

If you are looking to join a passionate team that values quality care, compassion, and professional development, we would love to hear from you.
