Job description

Ìý

The HMCG Clinical Tactical Lead will be responsible for ensuring the clinical currency and delivering of the following areas:

Ìý

Coastguard Emergency Responder Casualty Care (CERCC) Clinical Course Content for both instructors and practitioners also including CERCC Manual, Check Cards, Scenario Cards, and Revalidation Content liaising with the Training Centre and delivering training as required.

Ìý

Post incident review through the Patient Report Form, Post Incident Report and Fatalities process.

Ìý

The CERCC Quality Assurance and Engagement Programme.

Ìý

Development and maintenance of casualty care procedures and policies. Support selection and suitability assessments of equipment as well as representing HMCG as a Clinical Lead in internal and external forums.

Ìý

Creation and maintenance of clinical operational procedures and guidance and the clinical aspect of the design, delivery, and evaluation of Casualty Care training to support operational response in the Coastguard Rescue Services.

Ìý

Liaison with internal and external customers and stakeholders, Clinical Governance Team, and Medical Director in maintaining clinical operational standards.

Ìý

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Ìý

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Responsible for the clinical input in the clinical operational training needs analysis, design, delivery, and evaluation of HMCG technical training solutions, working with colleagues and/or external providers as necessary. Ensuring alignment with latest trends, best practice, and strategic priorities.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Responsible for the clinical input to the quality assurance visits and review of cascade training delivery and operational delivery. Provide fair and constructive feedback, responding to queries and developing improvement plans in association with coastal colleagues. Actively responsible for building a sense of community and network for CERCC.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Lead on the Clinical aspect of the training and support material and assessment methods liaising with Training Centre. Ensuring alignment with latest trends, best practice and strategic priorities.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Engage with senior stakeholders working on the continuous development of equipment, techniques and work procedures that will underpin HMCG operational policy development.
