Our Vision is to provide the best mental health, learning disability, autism and community based services for the populations we serve.
As an integrated mental health, learning disability and community Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including:
• Ìý ÌýPrimary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
• Ìý ÌýSpecialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a band 7 Operational Team Manager to join Central Home Based Treatment Team based at the Avondale Unit Royal Preston Hospital.Ìý

The Central Home Based Treatment Team offer 24 hour support to service users, and their families/carers, who are suffering from mental health concerns that would otherwise require admission to an acute inpatient environment. There is a strong focus on preventative interventions, effective risk management and the recovery model to provide quality care in a community setting.Ìý
The Central Home Based Treatment Team strive towards excellence and pride themselves as a team who are kind, compassionate and flexible. This has also recently been evidenced with the team being shortlisted for LSCFT Time to Shine Awards, the last two consecutive years.Ìý
Experience of working within the Urgent Care pathway is desirable.
The successful applicant will be experienced, dynamic, forward thinking, motivated, and have the ability to successfully work as part of a team and in partnership with local services.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership to the team along with leadership and direction to the clinical leads in the team. The successful applicant must demonstrate leadership styles and qualities that resemble our Trust values and the ability to embrace change and positively influence change to meet the needs of the service, service users, their families and carers.Ìý

• Ìý ÌýTo support the Urgent care pathway and coordinate the development of your identified function.
• Ìý ÌýTo ensure that the service offers a team approach and delivers a rapid, intensive assessment and intervention service in order to meet the needs of those people experiencing a mental health issue.
• Ìý ÌýTo supervise and evaluate the team.
• Ìý ÌýThe post holder will assist with the responsibilities for all aspects of the service.Ìý
• Ìý ÌýBe responsible for the day to day management of the team ensuring a responsive and effective service is offered 24 hours per day 7 days per week.
• Ìý ÌýTo organise and carry out Management and clinical supervision for all staff where appropriate.

- Evidence of commitment to continual professional development
- Completion of, or working towards, management or Leadership Training
Knowledge

- Knowledge of Assessment, Implementation, Monitoring and Review (including risk assessments).
- Demonstrate awareness of reflective and evidenced based practice (especially in relation to those suffering with a severe and enduring mental illness).
- Awareness of the Urgent Care Pathway principles and practice
Experience

- post registration experience in mental health setting (one year of which will be in relevant specialist area)
- Experience of supervising others
- Worked with people with Severe and Enduring Mental Illness
