Main duties of the job

Process invoices and credit notes on the Pharmacy system in line with procedures, ensuring timely payment to the Trust’s creditors in accordance with financial guidelines. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies raised by team members, customers, and suppliers through effective communication.

Liaise with suppliers and team members to address queries and provide resolution updates to the Pharmacy Invoicing Supervisor.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Support the accurate completion, collation, and adjustment of rolling stock checks across locations, ensuring compliance with established procedures.

1. To process invoices accurately and in line within local and trust financial procedures to ensure payments are made to suppliers within the established payment terms.

2. To manage the invoicing mailbox, prioritising queries and co-ordinating appropriate sharing of tasks.

3. 5. To troubleshoot invoice and credit note discrepancies, assisting Invoicing Pharmacy Support workers in resolving these issues.

Qualifications / training required

Essential criteria
  • Commitment to complete NVQ 2 in Pharmacy or other Level 2 approved GPhC qualification for pharmacy support, within 18 months of working
  • Numerate and literate demonstrating ability to pass test at interview
Desirable criteria
  • 2 GCSE’s or equivalent grades A* - C or 4-9 in English and Maths (If qualifications gained outside the UK evidence of equivalent standards must be demonstrated at interview)
  • Other healthcare qualifications
  • GCSE’s in science-based or other role specific relevant subjects

Previous or relevant experience necessary

Essential criteria
  • Use of information technology in the workplace or within education or voluntary sector
  • Standard keyboard skills
Desirable criteria
  • Previous pharmacy/laboratory experience (hospital or community)
  • Previous experience in health or social care (if not pharmacy)
  • Experience in stock control i.e., receiving, maintaining and / or issuing stock
  • Clinical trials or research experience (Clinical trials only)
  • Use of till and / or handling money in a work environment (RSH posts only)
