Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the surgical speciality to assist with empowering and enabling the ward/department teams to ensure that patient care is delivered to the highest standards of care, utilising research and evidence-based practice, in line with BCUHB Nursing Policies and Procedures and N.M.C. Code of Practice and professional standards and guidance.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Registered nurse.
  • Evidence of nursing related qualification to degree level
  • Post registration experience.
Desirable criteria
  • Teaching/assessing qualification to Postgraduate Diploma

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Good knowledge and understanding of current nursing and education issues
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm towards teaching and sharing knowledge
  • Broad clinical experience
Desirable criteria
  • Involved in service development and quality issues.

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Ability to form positive working relationships and work across Divisions & Corporate department.
  • Able to present relevant information in a concise form.
  • Able to develop a culture of quality within education and training.
  • Acts in a way that is consistent with legislation, policies and procedures and abide by the HB Health and Safety policies.
Desirable criteria
  • Have an understanding of ESR
