Job overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as a Band 6 Physiotherapist, within the Neuro outpatient Physio department. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your Neuro skills within the physiotherapy department. Working across outpatient clinics in Centre (Conwy and Denbighshire), you will be working alongside Clinical Specialist and Advanced practice neuro specialists, as well as the wider Neuro Multi-disciplinary team. The post offers a band 6 training programme and access to the monthly neuro physio in service training programme.听
The physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway to Band 8A as an advanced clinical practitioner. Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision and training.
Excellent support, supervision and in-house training provided.

Main duties of the job
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including the management of patients in their care.
To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use developed clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition. Obtain clinical support and guidance from senior physiotherapists; clinical specialists and advanced practitioners as required.
Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills e.g. manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education, exercise classes, electrotherapy techniques and other alternative options.
To take delegated responsibility from the Team Leader or Senior听 Physiotherapist for managing patients with particular conditions and be responsible for providing specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment plans for patients with these conditions.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
