Job overview
The post holder will act as the professional nurse lead providing clinical advice, leadership development, monitoring and management of all nursing resources within the designated clinical area, to facilitate excellent nursing practice ensuring the delivery of a high quality, patient centred service.
The post holder will be a Clinical Nurse Leader with previous primary care experience, working with the Management Team to identify opportunities for service change and improvement to encourage and enable advancement and development of associated evidence based services. 听
He/she will be instrumental in developing and implementing the Clinical Governance frameworks and in giving professional advice in relation to the development of services, within the Practice. They will be responsible for the planning of care coordination and services within the practice and with all stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
To develop the nursing workforce/services that contribute to the delivery of the local听 service plans, Health and Well Being Strategies, and other national strategies that are:
- Are based on patient and public involvement
- Liberate the potential of staff
The Nurse Lead is jointly responsible, along with other nurse leads , and practice management for the leadership and development of the nursing team and non-medical workforce, monitoring and improving quality standards and patient experience, ensuring professional challenge occurring as necessary.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse
- Master's Degree or equivalant experience in nursing or health related subject or working towards with completion in three years
- Significant relevant experience in a managerial experience
- Teaching / assessing qualification or experience
- Track record of significant continuous professional and management development
- Leadership training or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Post graduate management qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of Managing and leading a broad range of staff
- Budget management experience
- Experience in improving quality for patient staff and service
