The post holder will have professional responsibility for a defined population/caseload and lead the delivery & organisation of the public health programme.

Candidates must听 hold a SCPHN degree or equivalent in School Nursing with current NMC registration.听

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have professional responsibility for a defined population/caseload and lead the delivery & organisation of the public health program. Delivering the nursing component of the school health program to a school age population within a defined number of schools.

Based within the community setting, the practitioner is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care offered to families and external organisations, with particular attention to safeguarding children.

They听will be responsible for coordinating and delegating work within a skill mix team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
  • Healthcare Degree SCPHN RGN Level 1
  • SCPHN / Nurse Prescriber (which level)
  • Evidence of CPD to Post Graduate Diploma Level
  • Teaching Qualification or experience
Desirable criteria
  • Masters Degree
  • Management Experience

  • Able to work as an autonomous practitioner
  • Leadership and management skills

  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
