Beds & Herts Breast Screening Services are looking for

QUALIFIED MAMMOGRAPHERS – A4C BAND 6 - 37.5 hours per week/ Part time will be considered.

We are looking to recruit qualified mammographers to join our friendly team at Beds and Herts breast screening.

ÌýThe Beds & Herts Breast Screening Service is one of the largest units in the country and provides breast screening and assessment services to women living across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. Screening is supported by five mobile units. Assessment and symptomatic breast clinics are held in our modern, purpose built unit (BSU) in Luton and at Bedford Hospital.

The BSU is situated adjacent to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital near the M1, with easy access to main and local rail networks and Luton Airport.

Opportunities for role progression form an exciting part of our continuing service development plan. We currently have 9 Mammographers working in advanced practice including a consultant radiographer.Ìý

This role attracts a recruitment and retention premium of 5% of salary per annum, subject to annual review.Ìý

Main duties of the job

JOB SUMMARY :ÌýÌýÌýÌý To participate in the radiographic operation of the assessment centre, mobile units and symptomatic clinics in accordance with the agreed operational policies of the Breast Screening Services and the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP)

  • DCR® /BSc Honours in Diagnostic Radiography
  • UK recognised Post graduate certificate in Mammographic studies

Experience
