Job overview
We are looking for a committed and energetic individual to join our team as a Band 3 Physiotherapy Clinical Support Worker in the newly commissioned ward Emergency Medicine Receiving Unit EMRUÌý at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.Ìý This role will suit someone who is motivated, compassionate, and keen to support patients to achieve their potential, in a fast-paced environment.Ìý
Previous experience of working as a physiotherapy assistant is desirable. Having good communication and team-working skills is essential. The post involves weekend working as part of the therapy weekend service.
Main duties of the job
To support qualified Physiotherapy (PT) staff by implementing and undertaking designated patient assessment and treatment programmes.
To document, evaluate and feedback to qualified PT following all interventionsÌý
To support the Physiotherapy team in non-clinical tasks.Ìý
To participate in the seven day therapy service

SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential criteria
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multi disciplinary team, patients and carers to ensure records and reports are accurate, legal and in legible manner (in English)
- Demonstrate good organisational skills
- Demonstrate insight into the importance of maintaining a safe working environment
- Ability to learn / ability to self initiate learning (evidence within the last 2 years)

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
- Good level of education to GCSE standard. (at least 3 subjects)
- GCSE in English

- NVQ level I, II or III in Health Care
- Manual Handling, or First Aid qualification
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

- Clean driving licence
