Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Neurointerventional Radiology, to commence from 16 January 2025 for 3 months to cover a period of absence.聽
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Radiologist to join our Radiology team of Consultants, both NHS and University based, and Specialty Registrars.
This post is to support the Stroke Thrombectomy and haemorrhagic Service.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join a strong multidisciplinary team and provide specialist and general support to the workload of the department.聽
We have a close working relationship with all clinical specialties including Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stroke, ENT, and Head & Neck, and are actively involved in clinical, research and educational activities.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Radiology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The department is well equipped with state-of-the-art machines including 5 Siemens CT scanners, 6 GE MRI scanners, 4 Interventional Radiology suites (including a Philips Azurion 7 neuro biplane) and a Radiology Day Unit with 8 beds. A new PACS (McKesson Change) was installed on January 2019. The Epic eHospital system went live in October 2014.聽
The Imaging Directorate is ISAS (QSI) accredited and the Trust is a Major Cancer Centre and a Major Trauma Centre. The Trust provides Neuroscience Services to the entire East Anglia region, and is gearing up to provide Thrombectomy to this region.
