What We’re Looking For
- Strong design background - you’ll ensure architectural excellence, user-focused solutions and alignment with NHS Hospital 2.0 standards.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale construction programmes, ideally in the healthcare sector.
- Strategic and commercial leadership, with expertise in procurement, governance and risk management.
- Ability to engage, influence and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the design and construction elements of the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme (HHRP).
- Drive procurement strategies, ensuring best value for money.
- Oversee the integration of cutting-edge digital and sustainable design.
- Build and manage project teams, ensuring alignment with NHS and government regulations.

Essential criteria
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree, leadership/management qualification or equivalent experience
- PRINCE 2 Practitioner Level
- HM Treasury Better Business case training
Desirable criteria
- Construction qualification
- Membership of relevant professional body or chartered status.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience within the Healthcare sector at senior manager level including responsibility for strategic projects and programmes of change
- Experience of leading and managing programmes, with considerable experience managing large capital schemes in the healthcare sector
- Experience of business case development for large or complex capital projects and of the work streams including Clinical Strategy, Workforce, IT and Estates
Desirable criteria
- Considerable project management experience of large capital schemes in the healthcare sector
- General working knowledge of NHS business case process and approvals.
