Job overview
We are seeking a Business Support Manager to join the Microbiology team based at Glangwili hospital in Carmarthen. Candidates will need to be enthusiastic, well-motivated and innovative. Have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to lead and support individual and team working.
Main duties of the job
To provide business management, corporate and operation support to Public Health Wales. The post holder may coordinate and implement cross cover support to office functions within Public Health Wales, provide and ensure the provision of appropriate support and advice to administration and clerical, senior managers and consultants.
This is a key role to ensure efficient and effective support to the team which includes preparing monthly/quarterly reports and contracts, providing high level support to projects and undertaking specific tasks.

- NVQ Level 4, Degree or equivalent level of experience
Desirable criteria
- Advanced ECDL

- Experience in a supervisory / managerial role
- Experience of operating Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience of producing management information reports
- Experience of managing , maintaining and developing systems and procedures.
- Experience of implementing administrative policies and procedures
Desirable criteria
- Experience of formal minutes taking
- Working in an NHS environment
Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to work on own initiative and self manage workload
- Able to organise multi-disciplinary meetings and events
- Excellent management and communication skills and knowledge
- Advanced IT/keyboard skills
