Job overview

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our fantastic General Radiography team at Withybush General Hospital.听 The Radiology department here at WGH has gratefully benefited from significant Welsh government investment over the last two years. Lots of the equipment is brand new with more planned replacement in the near future. We have a range of modalities including two CT scanners, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, General and A&E X ray rooms and Fluoroscopy.听 A small, but dynamic team we offer great role extension opportunities as a Health Board with radiographers reporting on a range of studies including CT and Nuclear Medicine and other post grad study.

Main duties of the job

Working within the General X ray area. This would include X ray imaging of both scheduled out patients and GP patients, minor injury, accident and emergency and inpatients. Rotation through theatres and mobiles, fluoroscopy and CT with potential to work within the community sites including Tenby Cottage Hospital.

Participation within the out of hours on call system would be mandatory.

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

  • BSc Radiography(or recognised equivalent),
  • HCPC registration

  • Understanding of specialist radiography procedures and PACS.
