Job overview
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and adaptable dentist to join our highly motivated, professional and supportive team.
The appointment is Health Board wide, with the principal place of employment being either Elizabeth Williams Clinic, Llanelli.Ìý
Main duties of the job
Working from Elizabeth Williams Clinic, Llanelli, the post holder will provide mandatory dental services to vulnerable patients and for patients who do not have access to NHS dental care. The post holder will also provide comprehensive dental treatment for identified priority groups of patients, including children and adults with additional special care needs who receive their continuing dental care in the Community Dental Service.Ìý
Applicants must be GDC registered.

Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest.
Five community hospitals: Amman Valley Hospital and Llandovery Hospital in Carmarthenshire,Ìý Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire.

48 General Practices (GP surgeries), 49 Dental Practices, 98 Community Pharmacies (chemists), 44 General Ophthalmic Practices (including eye health and low vision services), 38 sites providing mental health and learning disability services, care within your own homes
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Essential criteria
- • Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent
- • Current General Dental Council registration certificate
- • Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
- • Appropriate post-graduate qualification to specialist field.

- • Experienced in a wide range of clinical dentistry
- • Minimum 1 years postgraduate experience

- • Experience in the provision of dental care using inhalation and intravenous sedation
