Job overview
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work 20 hours per week. This is a permanent, part time post within the Phlebotomy section of the Pathology Department at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.
There is a requirement to participate on the Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday rota. (There is extra remuneration for staff on this rota).
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to the needs of the service and to undertake a wide range of duties appropriate to the section but will mainly be involved with the collection of blood samples by venepuncture for analysis from the Wards, Out Patients Department and Outreach Clinics.
Training will be provided on commencement for aspects specific to the department
The post holder will assist in the provision of an efficient, caring and smooth running Phlebotomy service and will work as part of a team to provide a blood sample collection service to wards, clinics and other locations when deemed necessary. The work requires a flexible approach to hours of employment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
