The successful applicant will provide a visible clinical profile with management, advisory, leadership and operational oversight under the direction of the Clinical Manager into the delivery of the Vaccination and Living Well service.Ìý
The post holder will assist the clinical and operational management team in overseeing the day to day running of the service ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Ìý ÌýIf you have strong team management skills, a solid clinical background and want to support staff in continuous improvement and professional development then this could be the next step in your career.
The post is part time 27.5 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To develop training resources, training programmes and competency frameworks to support the clinical delivery of the service.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Support with supervision of team members by working clinically 50% of the time to model excellence in standards of care.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To work collaboratively and autonomously, when required, to support the induction, training and ongoing development of the Vaccination and Living Well clinical staff.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Maintain and monitor records of compliance with mandatory and service specific training.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To deputise for the Clinical Manager and OperationalÌý Manager as required at external meetings such as with commissioners, ICB and NHSE
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To identify and address unwarranted variations in care and implement procedures/checks to ensure the highest standards of clinical care are maintained at all times.Ìý
The role will change to meet the needs of the Service as it develops, and the post holder will need to be flexible in adapting to new areas of working as and when required. The post holder will be required to be flexible with shift patterns, including weekends, to meet the needs of the Service and must be flexible with travel away from the main hub.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level with registered nursing qualification or equivalent
- Registered Health Care Professional e.g. NMC/GPhC or GMC for doctors
- Evidence of teaching and assessing
- Evidence of further post graduate study
Desirable criteria
- Qualification in mentorship/assessing/teaching or relevant experience
- Immunisation or health screening experience
- Mentoring/Assessing skills
- IV Therapy Passport
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential criteria
- Proficiency in delivering high quality evidenced based care
- Ability to demonstrate continuing professional development
- Knowledge of immunisation schedules in accordance with national recommendations
- Knowledge of cold chain management and maintenance
- To be able to demonstrate continuing professional development
- Knowledge and use of computer to include microsoft word, internet access and email communication
- Political awareness of local and national NHS guidance
Desirable criteria
- Delivery of intravenous therapies
- Cannulation experience
- Experience of completing cervical screening
