An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Therapy Team at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
This is an opportunity to join our innovative and friendly team of Occupational Therapists on a permanent contract across our band 5 occupational therapy rotations. This post is an excellent opportunity to start and progress your career and is suitable for both newly qualified and experienced Band 5 occupational therapists.
About the service:
The East Cheshire Occupational Therapy Service delivers care in a variety of settings, including acute hospitals, rehabilitation centres and community clinics.
On joining the 4 monthly rotations you will be covering a wide range of interesting and stimulating posts in clinical areas, including rotations in Orthopaedics, Hand therapy Outpatients, Rheumatology, Surgery, Medicine and OPAL.
Hours per week:Ìý 37.5 - Full and Part time, Job Share and Flexible Working application considered.

Main duties of the job
To rotate through a wide range of rotations including medical, surgical, orthopaedics, rheumatology, OPAL, and hands on a 4 monthly basis.
Occupational Therapist to undertake assessment of patients with a wide range of conditions and to work as autonomous clinicians, under the guidance of Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapists as required, using accurate analytical skills and clinical reasoning to interpret assessment findings, making diagnoses where appropriate, identifying patient problems, setting goals, and providing an appropriate treatment plan and progression.

Knowledge

- Knowledge of a range of assessment tools & interventions relevant to a broad range of patients
- Awareness of recent NHS legislation, recommendations
