Band 2 housekeeper, 36 hours per week positionÌý

Willow A ward is a large friendly ward providing care to renal and haematology patients.Ìý

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic housekeeper who wants to work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team.

Previous experience as a housekeeper is not essential as in-house training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped to meet the demands of this role.

Main duties of the job

Work under supervision of the Ward Manager/Registered Nurse as part of the ward team to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Serve patient meals and hot and cold beverages at the scheduled times, adhering to food hygiene regulations. Assist with feeding patients as deemed appropriate by qualified nursing staff.

Monitor and maintain high standards of cleaning and hygiene standards of ward kitchen (including fridge and microwave) and treatment/stock/staff rooms, ensuring all equipment/utensils and surfaces are clean at all times, eg discarding out of date food, stock rotation.
