We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Band 5 Finance Officer to join our dynamic finance team at NHS Derby and Derbyshire ICB, as part of the Joined Up Care Derbyshire integrated health and care system.
This role is essential in supporting people in Derby and Derbyshire to live their healthiest lives, creating a sustainable, joined-up health and social care system for now and the future.
This role will report to and assist the Finance Manager in providing finance support to the Place & Partnerships directorate, providing robust and timely financial reports and forecasts, financial information, and high-quality financial advice.Ìý
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to develop sound working relationships with the Place & Partnerships and Planned & Urgent Care directorates, alongside the wider finance team and Integrated Care Partners.Ìý

The Main Duties of the Job will include:
Ìý
Working flexibly to provide financial support to the Finance Managers
Ìý
Providing financial assistance and advice to governance,
commissioning, contracting and planning colleagues in the ICB
Ìý
Developing sound working relationships with the Place & Partnerships and Planned & Urgent Care directorates, alongside the wider finance team and Integrated Care System
Ìý
Responsibility for monitoring spend and analysing financial trends, including reporting, on specified contracts as part of the monthly and annual reporting cycle
Ìý
Attend meetings, including contract meetings, with non-Finance staff as required.
Ìý
Responsibility for overseeing Corporate Pay Budgets.
Ìý
Responding to complex queries from Finance and Non-Finance staff
Ìý
Working as part of a team to ensure financial reporting is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with reporting timetables

- Association of Accounting Technicians Member or educated to degree level in relevant subject, or have equivalent experience
- Previously worked in similar position within finance;
- IT Skills with ability to use Microsoft Excel to an advanced level;
