Are you an organised and motivated individual looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the NHS? We are seeking an enthusiastic Administrator (or Administrators) to join our Chief Operating Officer Directorate within NHS Devon ICB. This is an exciting role where you will provide key administrative support to help deliver the Directorate’s priorities, with a focus on commissioning and operational areas. Ìý

In this role, you will manage diaries, organise meetings, and maintain shared mailboxes to ensure effective communication and time management across the team. You will also input and manage data using systems such as Microsoft Office packages (including Teams, Word, and Excel) and ESR, while supporting a range of administrative tasks, including minute-taking, producing action logs, and distributing meeting materials. Additionally, you will assist with the coordination and delivery of projects and priorities, contribute to the development of administrative systems, and provide cross-cover across different areas to ensure a seamless service. Ìý

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office packages. Experience of working in an administrative role is essential and you should also have minute taking or note taking skills or be willing to learn.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in an administrative environment and working with computerised data systems.
  • Keyboard skills with a high degree of accuracy for minute taking and data input.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge or experience of minute taking or note taking skills or willing to learn.
  • Educated to NVQ 3 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience.
Desirable criteria
