Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become part of a small friendly team which provides procurement support to the entire pharmacy team.
Demonstrable experience working financial, procurement or a pharmacy role would be a distinct advantage for this role and the applicant would need strong mathematical skills due to the financial aspects of the role.Ìý
Applicants would also need to be able to support the goods in function which will some times involves the receipt and storage of cumbersome loads.

Main duties of the job
The Key dimensions of this role will include but are not exclusive to:
Support the Lead Technician and Senior Technician – Pharmacy Procurement with facilitating price changes
Process Pharmacy orders and assist with the receipt of stock
Support the Procurement Manager with the development and progression of eCommerce
Support with stock take activities relating to goods on Pallet store locations
Support in the ordering, receipt and safe storage of all required medicines and clinical devices.

Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Good mathematical background for invoicing purposes
- Sound proven understanding of finance processes.
- Proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Access
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrable experience in a medical or health related environment
- Previous demonstrable experience in a financial background
- Previous demonstrable experience of hospital Pharmacy computer systems
- Sound proven understanding of Good Distribution Practice and WDA(H) legislation
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE’s or equivalent in English and Mathematics of grade C or above
- NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Desirable criteria
- Equivalent to GCSE or above in IT related subject
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience
Aptitude & Abilities
