At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.

In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.

Job overview

We are looking for a dedicated Team Administrator who can be part of an evolving administration team, you’ll play a key role in our Child Development Admin Team.

The role is fast paced, requiring resilience, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure.Ìý You should be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, working to strict deadlines.Ìý ÌýConfidentiality must be maintained at all times and being a good communicator is also key.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will provide administration support as part of the administration team.ÌýÌý

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate good interpersonal, verbal and written skills and have a "can do" positive attitude.

You will have a good level of IT literacy as you will be using multiple software packages including SystmOne.

This role will keep you both challenged and busy as you work closely with colleagues to support the clinical team and our young patients.ÌýÌý

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent level including English and Maths
  • Evidence of good literacy and proof reading skills
  • Typing /text processing/ data entry skills to RSA III or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL or equivalent similar IT qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working as an administrator or clerical experience in a busy environment
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Previous experience of data entry
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience including knowledge of SystmOne
  • Previous experience of editing and proof-reading letters.
