At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.
In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.

To lead on the provision of competency based assessment, teaching, education and supervision programmes
To design and deliver training programmes.
To lead on and coordinate the professional band forums
To manage the onboarding of staff to the preceptorship programme.
To provide appropriate training to our preceptor pool.
To take an active role in the delivery of the AHP preceptorship programme
To demonstrate clinical excellence and act as a clinical expert and advisor for Physiotherapists.
To create and maintain positive working relationships within the teams whilst monitoring and appraising performance.
To promote an Interprofessional learning Environment
To support the monitoring of standards of care/support and to assist in the development of responsive and innovative practice
To be responsible for own professional development.
To contribute to national and local health promotion initiatives as appropriate, bringing local services to local people.
To create a dynamic environment conducive to learning and the professional development of staff and students including overseeing the development and maintenance of learning resources and materials.
Main duties of the job
This job is designed to provide the Physiotherapy teams within the Community Health and Integrated Care Division (CHIC) with clinical support to develop all staff with the primary focus of band 5 and 6 Physiotherapists and Apprentices within these services. Ìý
The role is to provide induction, training, education, competency development, assessment, monitoring and supporting supervision to Band 5’s and 6’s initially within the community and then the wider CHIC division.
To provide Interprofessional learning and support for Band 5 and 6 Occupational Therapy and Nursing Staff to develop Physiotherapy competencies.
ÌýTo lead on the development of apprenticeships within community therapy services and the wider physiotherapy profession as appropriate.
ÌýTo lead on student education within community therapy services; supporting and developing clinical educators and coordinating placements to promote inter-professional experience
ÌýTo provide specialist advice to PT keyworkers for complex caseloads.
ÌýTo support clinical supervision for Band 5 / 6’s and develop peer support and action learning sets to develop core excellence in conjunction with Band 6 lead supervisors.
To support the recruitment and rotations on B5 Physiotherapists.
