An opportunity has arisen for aÌý band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join the fast paced team on children inpatient ward (G2 ward) .If this sounds like you or are you looking for a new challenge we are interested in hearing from you!
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to support and work along the nursing staff to ensure that high quality care is delivered to the children and their families that access our service.
ÌýEvidence of excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment are essential for the role Evidence of Childcare / nursery nurse training is essential.
It is our responsibility to provide you opportunities and support to develop further skills that will enable you to extend and enhance the role.

Training & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards or NVQ child care/NEEB/City & Guilds
Desirable criteria
- Basic understanding of normal child development
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- One years’ experience working with children and general public.
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS experience
Skills & Ability
Essential criteria
- Able to work without direct supervision.
