This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Partnering Team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB as a Band 6Ìý Management Accountant on either a secondment or fixed term basis for a duration of 12 months.
To provide finance management support and advice to the management of budgets as part of the business partnering finance team. The key elements will be providing financial advice, budget setting, monthly reporting, and variance analysis to budget holders.Ìý
Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range ofÌý individuals across the organisation, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects.
Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Partnering Team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB as a Band 6Ìý Management Accountant on either a secondment or fixed term basis for a duration of 12 months.
The role will involve matrix working supporting the Senior Finance Managers for Acute and Mental Health providing senior management accounting support to both teams across a variety of programme areas as well as line managing a Senior Finance Assistant.
You will be able to combine good technical accountancy skills, with experience and evidence at interview of communicating Finance to Non-Finance professionals. You will also need to beÌýpart of a committed team and so will have the ability to work well in a team and to deadlines and able to prioritise workload.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
Essential criteria
- CCAB part qualified to intermediate level or educated to degree level in relevant subject with equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in finance, or equivalent experience of working at a similar level in finance.
- Good computer literacy and advanced knowledge of complex spreadsheets.
- Experience of improving financial services to budget managers.
- Minimum of two years experience of financial and accounting procedures
- Further training or significant experience in financial management.
Desirable criteria
- Workforce development knowledge and experience
- Data base and SBS experience
- Previous experience in similar role in public sector
