UHS is offering a new and exciting role within the Commercial Services Team. Responsible for the purchase of goods and services by delivering contracts. Fostering a highly professional and responsive client service and build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders to deliver work plans and savings targets. Implement change and support and enable staff to deliver and continuously improve the service.Ìý
Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Procurement department leads and with clinical and corporate departments across the host Trusts to deliver savings against a challenging Cost Improvement Programme.Ìý
Support & lead on a portfolio of strategic procurement contracts and projects across Clinical category areas. Share best practice and collaborate within the team to identify services that would increase efficiency of service

Qualifications / training required
Essential criteria
- Degree level qualification in a business, purchasing, supply or similar subject OR studying towards CIPS qualification OR demonstrate suitable experience in similar role
- Experience of identifying and evaluating value for money
- Experience of fast paced problem solving both remotely and in person and ability to impart information succinctly and concisely.
- Experience in achieving objectives whilst maintaining good relationships with customers or stakeholders
Desirable criteria
- Understanding of contract law, UK Procurement processes/law, Corporate Governance
- ember of CIPS or equivalent
- Clinical/NHS Market and supplier / product knowledge including Procedures and catalogue management
- Training and mentoring experience
- Supply chain problem solving and negotiation experience
