We are recruiting for a Rheumatology Medical Secretary who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Main duties of the job
Act as point of contact for patients and medical staff on behalf of the consultant and their team ensuring that all enquired are answered with skill, sensitivity and in a courteous and professional manner.
You will be responsible for the provision of an efficient, comprehensive personal assistant and administrative support service to the Consultant/s and any other members of their team/s. Ìý
Book patients in accordance with the National Target Waits, prioritising urgent patients as requested by the Consultants. In accordance with the Trust Access Policy ensure patients are contacted via telephone or face-to-face and are given the opportunity to discuss outpatient appointment dates, periods when they are unavailable etc. When transport is required, provide the patient with the relevant contact telephone numbers.Ìý
You will be required to work independently using their own initiative and must apply a high degree of confidentiality to all aspects of their work.
In this role you will Ìýuse of Lorenzo and DictateIT systems to ensure accurate and efficient records.
Undertake these duties without direct supervision, working within broad procedural guidelines.
