Are you looking for the next step in your career leading Children's Physiotherapy services?

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Physiotherapist to lead our service to Children and Young People here in Bromley.

We provide a high-quality and comprehensive physiotherapy service for children and young people within the community setting, clinics and special schools. If you are a qualified Physiotherapist with experience working with children and young people and would like to support and proactively develop the future of the service we would be pleased to hear from you.听

We are based at the Phoenix Centre, purpose built centre in Bromley, collaboratively working with other children's and young people's services in the same location to ensure an MDT approach putting the child at the centre of our intervention.

The successful candidate will be motivated, organised and committed to working within Bromley Healthcare's values and within a team environment.听

An extended DBS check and fulfilment of the physical requirement of the post are detailed in the person specification. A clean driving license is desirable.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the clinical delivery and organisational management of the Children's Physiotherapy Service, ensuring the services provided are of high quality, effective, well-co颅 ordinated and responsive to the changing needs of the local population. This includes physiotherapy services to children in their own homes, in special schools, mainstream schools, the Phoenix Centre and pre-schools and nurseries.

To lead the Children's Physiotherapy Team using strong leadership and managerial skills

To ensure effective operational procedures are in place which support service standards

Provide leadership by example and by being clearly visible to patients, relatives, and carers.

To establish, maintain and monitor standards & competencies of clinical care for the Children's Physiotherapy Team and provide highly skilled, in-depth clinical and professional knowledge and expertise

Professional Registration

Essential criteria
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development via a professional portfolio
Desirable criteria
  • Completion of relevant postgraduate management programme

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Management or Leadership Qualification
Desirable criteria
  • Postgraduate Qualification
  • Member of Special Interest Group

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Good understanding of current issues relating to physiotherapeutic practice
  • Advanced paediatric assessment skills
  • Sound understanding of children's and adults safeguarding procedures
  • Current UK driving license & Car driver with use of car for work

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Highly experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist, underpinned by a sound theoretical framework
  • Significant experience at a senior clinical and leadership level
  • Experience of supervising/ appraising staff, students and working with the clinical governance framework
  • Proven ability to maintain and monitor high standards of practice
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of successful change management
  • Previous experience of managing a Children's Physiotherapy team
