We are recruiting for a Administrator for Maternity who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have exceptional organisational skills, allowing them to manage and prioritise tasks effectively and at short notice. Providing equal support to the Midwifery Specialist teams:

  • Compliance and Clinical Negligence Scheme For Trusts Manager (CNST) 
  • Diabetes
  • Governance
  • Education
  • Fetal well-being 

They will possess outstanding communication abilities, demonstrating a professional and friendly approach, demonstrating commitment to all Specialist Midwifery Teams.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To provide a comprehensive administrative service for the senior Maternity team to help deliver; CNST, Risk/Governance, Saving Babies Lives, Education and Diabetes service requirements.

To actively participate in and support patient safety and quality monitoring improvement projects.

Participate in the collection of evidence for Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts (CNST) assessment.

Collate agenda, attend and minute specialist meetings 

Support Maternity IT team in data capture and input requirements

This job will involve cross team working ensuring key priorities for all specialists have good administration and communication to ensure service performance and development.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE A* - C, or Level 2 Functional skills
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 in relevant subject or demonstrable experience

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a health care setting
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of multi disciplinary team working

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Working in healthcare
  • Experience of communicating effectively with a variety of professionals and outside agencies
  • Experience of working within an NHS Trust or similar organisation
  • Experience of communicating effectively with a variety of professionals and outside agencies
  • Experience of office administration support duties
