We are recruiting for a Clinical Support WorkerÌýwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver theÌýBest of Care by the Best PeopleÌýand has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Main duties of the job

To assist the nursing team to ensure the day to day running of the Chemotherapy unit is maintained to the highest standard.Ìý

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the nurses with observations, venepuncture, PICC and PORT flushes using posiflush, and dressing changes.Ìý

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The employee will work closely with the nursing team and nurse in charge to know what tasks are required on a daily basis.

The employee will be responsible for using the relevant IT systems to identify patients who require treatment. They will be competent in taking and acting on observations.Ìý

The employee will be competent in venepuncture, or willing to learn.

The employee will be competent in Line flush or willing to learn, and PICC dressings.

The employee will be responsible for maintaining mandatory training, and adhering to trust policies.ÌýÌý

  • NVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject or the equivalent level of working experience

Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of the NHS Some knowledge of data protection and patient confidentiality
