An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator, who is passionate about Infection Prevention and Control, to support the team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust on a permanent basis.聽
Main duties of the job
You will play a major role within the Infection Prevention and Control team.
Supporting the team who work across both hospital sites, you will be expected to take minutes, arrange meetings, liaise with team members, colleagues within the Trust and external agencies and produce reports relating to Infection Prevention and Control.
The successful candidate therefore will need to, have great organisational skills, good time management and excellent communication skills.
The role is cross site on a rotational basis with the other administrator in the team.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England.
We provide a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in West Kent and East Sussex. We have a team of over 8,000 full and part-time staff. We also provide specialist cancer services to around 2 million people across Kent and East Sussex via the Kent Oncology Centre. Fordcombe Hospital is near Tunbridge Wells and became part of the Trust in October 2024. It focusses on planned care and has two operating theatres, 28 inpatient and day care beds, diagnostic services including X-ray, MRI, CT and endoscopy, and a number of consultation and treatment rooms.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of general education GCSEs or equivalent
- Administration NVQ/Level 3 (or equivalent experience).
Desirable criteria
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience as an administrative/clerical assistant (or similar post).
- Administration procedures. Secretarial procedures.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within the NHS.
