If so an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist Administrator within the Chemotherapy Unit based at the Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital.

The post holder will be the face of the department and will need to be dynamic, compassionate, friendly and able to use their own initiative.

The successful applicant will be joining a highly motivated and effective team who strive to ensure patient care is at the forefront of our service.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of a team to provide comprehensive administrative support for the Clinical Oncology and Chemotherapy Units within East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

In this role you will be the face of the unit, our patients are cancer patients and can be feeling quite unwell. It is therefore imperative that they are greeted with a warm welcoming smile and that they have trust that we have their care in hand.

The post holder will need to be able to maintain a high standard of communication and customer service skills when dealing with patients, relatively, visitors and staff. Accurate and timely data entry is a vital part of the role.

Ensuring that administrative and clerical support is provided to clinical staff working within the Chemotherapy Suite. The post holder will be required to admit and discharge patients, and also organise outpatient appointments, ensuring that the patient is booked appropriately for the reason they are attending.
