Do you take PRIDE in creating clean and hygienic environments? We are seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team of Domestic Assistants at Tunbridge Wells Hospital!
As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our facilities remain clean, comfortable, and inviting for both patients and staff. With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of teamwork, you’ll help maintain the highest standards of hygiene throughout the hospital. Your duties will include general cleaning.
Please note that the Fordcombe Site is located in a rural area with limited access via public transport. You will need to ensure you are available to attend the time during the day and evenings. Access to a vehicle is advantageous.Â
Main duties of the job
We offer mixture of Full time and Part time hours
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills who are well-motivated, hardworking, and ready to contribute as part of a supportive team. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Essential criteria
- Good general education
- NVQ level 2 Cleaning and Support Services
Desirable criteria
- Relevant cleaning qualification - BICSc
- Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate
Experience/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Ability to effectively communicate / interact with others (both verbal and written)
- Understanding of why cleaning is important
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of the hospital sites
- Colour coding and prevention of cross infection
- Previous usage of cleaning equipment
Skills
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of domestic cleaning
- Commitment to ensure good standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Ability to work as part of a team
