There has never been a more exciting time to join our Trust. You will be part of delivering a significant transformation to the way services are accessed and delivered. We are looking for an admin assistant to support our specialist call handlers dealing with referral, enquiries from patients, service users, carers and clinicians for mental health services.
The service is a call handling service for our Mental Health Services across Lancaster, Morecambe, Kendal, Barrow in Furness and surrounding areas.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new service. You will provide vital support to our clinical teams whilst maintaining front line contact with our patients and service users.
The role would be suitable for those with experience of patient and service user contact, an excellent telephone manner and a strong customer focus. Comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidateÌý
The new service offers:
• Ìý ÌýA single referral point for GPs and other professionalsÌý
• Ìý ÌýA 24-hour telephone advice and support for people who use services and carers to be able to self-referÌý
• Ìý ÌýMore responsive crisis services with improved experiences for people who use services, carers and professionals
Our aim is to provide people with mental health issues access to the support they need at the right time, with positive outcomes.
The service is 24/7 but as Admin Assistant you will be working day shifts across all 7 days within our team based at East Barn in LancasterÌý
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service to the Initial Response Service, The Bay within the Mental Health Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the Business Administration Team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided. You will be organised, professional, committed and will assist in providing a high standard, quality service with The Bay.Ìý

The post holder will work flexibly in response to the needs of the service providing cover as directed by their line manager to ensure continuity of service provision.Ìý

The post holder will have knowledge of relevant customer service procedures applicable to this role. ÌýProblem solving is an integral part of the role. Ìý

The role will involve contact on a daily basis with a wide range of people – both internal and external to the organisation and therefore requires a confident approach. The post holder will need to be a team player with very strong communication skills.
