Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist to join our Children’s Therapy Service working in our Chorley and South Ribble Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward thinking paediatric Physiotherapist looking for their next challenge. This post is suitable for an experienced physiotherapist who has a real desire to work with children and young people between the age of 0-19 providing assessment and treatment on a number of clinical pathways including MSK, Early Years, Coordination Difficulties, Neurological and Long Term Conditions. ÌýWe operate across a variety of community settings including special and mainstream schools, clinics, and within a home setting.

Education/ Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Professional Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • Current Professional Registration with HCPC

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Understanding of clinical governance framework & implications for practice, including audit and research governance
  • Knowledge of a broad range of assessment tools for children with diverse needs.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of recent and relevant post graduate experience encompassing the specialist field of practice. that demonstrates an in depth knowledge of specialist area/transferable relevant skills
  • Multi-disciplinary/multi-agency collaborative working
  • Experience of working with children with complex needs and their families in community/non clinical setting

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently as lead specialist

Work Related Circumstances

Essential criteria
  • Ability to comply with the travel requirements of the post.
