This is an exciting time to be working at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, one of the biggest NHS Trusts in the UK, delivering care to more than 1.6 million people a year through our three main hospitals: Barnet, Chase Farm and Royal Free.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our Band 6 acute rotation as part of a job share. The rotations happen on a 9 monthly basis. The areas that you will be supported in to deliver a patient-focused, evidence based, high-quality therapy service include:
Vascular and Amputees
Trauma and Orthopaedics
Hand Therapy
Health Services for Older People
Rapid Response / A&E
Acute Stroke and Neurology
Complex Medical
The successful candidate is required to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in an acute hospital setting.

Education & professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- HPC Registration in OT
Desirable criteria
- Member of Specialist OT Section group
Experience
Essential criteria
- Post-graduate work experience as an Occupational Therapist, including working with patients in relevant clinical areas
- Experience of working as an OT with patients with dementia
- Experience of working as an OT with patients with Neurological conditions.
- Experience of working in an inpatient physical setting
- Experience of working in an acute setting
- Experience of a hospital based Occupational Therapy Service, including working with an MDT.
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
