Job overview
IMPART is composed of friendly, busy, and innovative staff delivering third wave CBT evidence based psychological therapies to clients with a
diagnosis of personality disorder across NELFT. We are seeking one full time assistant psychologist with some
knowledge of CBT and/or DBT who would like to develop their experience in working with complex trauma (PD) in our community based service.
We work with a hybrid model, allowing staff to combine working on site with virtual working, thus allowing for flexibility and a better work/life
balance.
IMPART is closely linked to the psychology department at University College London. IMPART staff benefit from a wide range of CPD available
through UCL. IMPART was one of the three IAPT SMI demonstration sites for NHS England, thus we are seeking applicants with interest in
working with individuals with a personality disorder, and interested in expanding the evidence base for effective services.Ìý The postholder will co-facilitate DBT and CBT groups, provide Preparing for Therapy sessions, and will be given the opportunity to provide brief CBT interventions. The postholder will support the audit and research within the team. The postholders will support the expansion of resources available to the team to provide quality care.
Main duties of the job
• Supporting the delivery of specialist assessments and interventions for clients with a personality disorder.
• Supporting qualified staff in the delivery of treatment to clients with a personality disorder.
• Co-facilitating DBT and CBT groups with a qualified member of staff.
• Developing and conducting audits of IMPART processes/policies/outcomes.
• Support the management of the IMPART resources (shared drive, library).
• Participating in research into personality disorder.
• Supporting the data collection for IMPART
• Developing new clinical materials, leaflets, and handouts for use with clients, families and staff involved in personality disorder services

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.Ìý All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. ÌýAs part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.Ìý The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time).
