An Exciting opportunity has arisen within the Rheumatology/ Osteoporosis Unit. We are looking for a highly motivated Rheumatology Osteoporosis and Fracture Liaison CoordinatorÌýwho will be responsible for providing bone density assessments to at risk patients and liaise with other specialities within the trust and general practitioners within the local area. The post holder will also be responsible for providing a fracture liaison service forÌý patines over 50 years old , who present with low trauma fractures.Ìý Making sure that patients are correctly assessed and offered constructive advice.ÌýÌý
Main duties of the job
Main Duties/Key Results Areas:Ìý
- On a day to day basis manage one’s own workload always be meticulous and well organised, prioritise work to ensure deadlines are met with minimum supervision.
- Be flexible with the workload and demands of the Fracture Liaison Service and Rheumatology
- Be proficient in the use of iClip, EPR, PAS, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Clerical or receptionist experience
- Experience of working with the public
Desirable criteria
- 6 months NHS experience
- Has working knowledge of a hospital or GP PAS system
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English) or equivalent experience
- Willing to undertake any further study to enhance ability to carry out job role more efficiently
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of further study
- Other appropriate qualifications or courses
Skills
Essential criteria
- Understanding of the principles of good customer care
- Has good interpersonal skills
- Is able to deal with the pressures associated with working in a busy outpatient department
