Qualifications needed:
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting for a Community Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor position in the West Mental Health & Wellness Team, based at Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX.

This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post, which will be vacant soon. We wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.

You will join two full-time Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, and a Core Trainee doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be expected to:
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, across Northern Redbridge.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Work directly with adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Work alongside the 2.6wte Adult Consultant Psychiatrists within the service and share clinical supervision requirements with them.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Develop links already established with the local acute ³Ù°ù³Ü²õ³Ù²õ’ A&E departments and inpatient wards.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.
·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
