Job overview
We require a flexible, confident and motivated individual looking to develop their career in NHS finance.听 The post holder will assist in the provision of high calibre financial support to the Trust鈥檚 clinical and operational business groups. This is a key role in supporting the regular monthly processes carried out by the department, and in the development of the Trust鈥檚 financial systems and processes, as well as involvement in the Trust鈥檚 financial plan and annual accounts.
Band 5-6 development role will be considered.
Main duties of the job

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Applicants should be highly numerate with clear verbal and written communication skills and be capable of prioritising workload effectively. Candidates must possess excellent IT skills, and be willing to work individually and as part of a team. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop personally and professionally. Stockport NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity to join the Financial Management team based at Stepping Hill Hospital as a Deputy Divisional Accountant. This role is part of the well-established Finance & Procurement Department which is accredited at level 3 for finance staff development in the Northwest and has been awarded the HFMA Northwest 鈥淕reat Place to Work鈥 award for Finance & Procurement. We pride ourselves on our financial standards and commitment to continuous staff development.
