Do you have a passion to provide high quality care whilst working alongside a

keen to gain further experience in a variety of areas of paediatrics as well as
developing knowledge and experience in medical education?

We are looking to appoint a clinical teaching fellow from August 2025 for a period
of 12 months.

We are seeking a ST4+  doctor in Paediatrics to join our enthusiastic team. You can expect to gain experience in working on our tier 3 rota with good support from consultants. We encourage the development of a special interest within paediatrics and offer excellent working conditions. For those sitting post-graduate examinations, we boast an excellent track record in helping our staff to be successful. For those seeking the Portfolio Pathway route (formally CESR), our department also has experience of support staff to achieve and obtain this goal.

Main duties of the job

The job will combine clinical work (60%) and protected time for teaching (20%). Post
holders will be funded to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education
and contribute towards teaching of 4th year medical students.

Working for our organisation

HDFT is the principal provider of hospital services to the population of Harrogate and Ripon and the surrounding rural district with a catchment population of 185,000.

The spa town of Harrogate is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the
Yorkshire Dales whilst the cities of Leeds and York are conveniently situated close by. There are excellent facilities in the area for most sports and outdoor activities and there is a choice of outstanding local schools.

This post is not approved for training and does not carry an NTN, however working at Harrogate District Hospital will enhance individuals’ clinical experience, portfolio and progression. A bespoke rota will be tailored to the needs of the applicant after discussion.
