Job overview

Want a career with growth, progression, and empowerment? Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust isÌý one of the UK’s largest acute teaching Trusts in England. This means our midwives have the unique opportunity to work Ìýacross a range of highly specialist departments – giving you the chance to develop highly sought-after skills right from the very start of your career.

When you join, you’ll receive excellent guidance and support from us as an organisation, but also from some of the most experienced and dedicated members of our Maternity Services team. From there, you’ll have the power to take your career down any branch or specialism of midwifery that inspires you.

We’re looking for compassionate, ambitious, and progressive people to join our team. With so many opportunities for self-development and progression, we need people who want to learn and inspire others. People who have a voice and want to use it to drive positive change. People who love a challenge and want to be part of transformation.

Working across our two hospitals and within the community, you’ll have an important role to play in the care across the whole spectrum of pregnancy and birth.Ìý You will have the opportunity during your preceptorship or induction to work in all areas including Delivery Suite, community, Ante natal services and inpatient areas. .

The multi-faceted nature of our Maternity Services unit means you’ll ensure families accessing our services receive excellent care, that’s tailored to their individual needs at every stage of their journey.

As a Midwife, you’ll be an active part of our Improvement Programme – being a voice for positive change within our multi-disciplinary team. You’ll have a say in how we implement, deliver, and evaluate our care and you will be part of the decision-making process that drives our transformation.Ìý

We believe that progression and compassion is at the heart of delivering excellent care. With the huge variety of maternity services we provide, along with our strong focus on staff wellbeing and personal development, you can be part of a Trust where you never stop learning, you always feel valued, and you build a truly rewarding, thriving career.
