Candidates must hold the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or an equivalent qualification and must be registered with the GMC (ideally on the Specialist Register). Possession of a CCT (or equivalent) at the time of taking up the appointment would be desirable but the department has a good track record of supporting candidates in successfully completing CESR qualification.
An appropriate period of specialist training and experience with advanced imaging techniques is desirable, as is a track record in research.
There is a possibility that in the future successful applicants may be required to undertake clinical sessions at neighboring Trusts such as Sherwood Hospitals Foundation Trust in order to support developing pathways of care.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, motivated individual who is able to work successfully and flexibly in a team as well as develop new services and skills. They will be expected to collaborate with the body radiologists across both sites.
There is currently a 1:10 diagnostic on call rota and separate interventional body radiology (1:8). The candidate would be able to explore the on call that best suited their clinical skills.
The post holder would join a dynamic team ofÌý7ÌýThoracic radiologists offering a comprehensive elective and emergency service for patients as a Tertiary Centre.
