Main duties of the job
• Ìý ÌýResponsible for managing patient access, booking service functions, and creating pathways and SOPS for patient referrals.
• Ìý ÌýPlanning and organisation of complex clinics which may also include last minute patient cancellations and changes in National Protocols.
• Ìý ÌýResponsible for booking systems, including testing, problem solving and reporting issues to the national service desk.
• Ìý ÌýResponsible for ensuring we adhere to National Protocols and make any changes at pace, adjusting capacity plans, booking plans and clinic slots, as necessary.
• Ìý ÌýWork closely with vaccination services team and external stakeholders to continually improve the management of patient appointments and targets.
• Ìý ÌýKeep up to date with the best practices associated with the management of patient access and booking systems.

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification / training / experience in a relevant field such as business administration management and/or project management plus further training and experience to post graduate diploma level equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
- Previous experience in booking and admissions scheduling processes and systems
- Experience of working with simply book and the National booking system
- Experience of accessing and using Foundry for vaccine supply and bookings information
- Experience of working in teams
- Extensive experience in advanced use of IT packages including keyboard skills and data manipulation.
- Previous experience of analysis of performance data and providing meaningful and credible information.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Essential criteria
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex information, pre-empt and evaluate issues, and recommend an appropriate course of action to address the issue
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience of preparing and presenting reports on complex issues to clinicians, management and staff at all levels.
- Experience of working with a number of data sources, developing and presenting data in a dashboard.
- Experience of using management information systems to ensure an integrated information approach.
- Quickly and expertly identify and investigate inconsistencies in data
- System administration, escalation and problem solving skills
- Confident to participate at meetings and presenting data
- Ability to make decisions within a given framework
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
