Main duties of the job
To safely and effectively operate ultrasound equipment, adhering to British Medical Ultrasound (BMUS) guidelines
ÌýTo ensure that high professional standards are maintained throughout the department, in terms of patient care, technical quality and appearance
ÌýAssist with the development of a range of guidelines, polices and protocols in line with strategic, political and To undertake consistent independent scanning and reporting of complex ultrasoundÌý
examinations in multiple areas. Ability to offer differential diagnosis and referral for furtherÌý
imaging. Acts as an expert medical resource for trainee midwife specialist sonographersÌý
and medical practitioner in growth scanning techniques across the service/ organisation professional requirement

- registered midwife
- competent in transvaginal ultra sound
Desirable criteria
- evidence of study at degree or masters level
- counselling qualification

- minimum of 1 years experience of scanning
- clinical knowledge of scanning
Desirable criteria
- qualification in early pregnancy scanning
- experience in teaching and assessing students.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
