Do you want to work with patients where you can really make a difference to those most in need?听 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated Paramedic to join North Solihull PCN.听 With a population of over 39,000 patients you will support 6 GP practices, all rated 鈥淕ood鈥 by CQC.听

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join an innovated thinking and growing Multi-Disciplinary team providing excellent service to our most vulnerable patients. We are seeking an individual who will focus their skills on providing a specialist Paramedic resource for health care professionals and service users, working in collaboration of other Multi-Disciplinary team members. The post holder will work within the 4 surgeries and will also be required to visit patients in their own home or in a care home environment. 听As an accountable Paramedic the successful candidate will work alongside a range of local providers from primary care, community services, social care and the voluntary sector to offer more personalised, coordinated health and social care to their local patient populations.听

North Solihull Primary Care Network consists of 10 practices located in various sites听 across Chelmsley Wood, Smithswood, Kingshurst, Sheldon, Marston Green and Castle听 Bromwich.

As a PCN, we cover a total population of over 81000 patients with our purpose being to enable GP practices to work together in a collaborative way to develop and deliver network-based services that respond to the needs of the local population. Our aim is to sustain real improvements in both the care of our patients and our working lives.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Main Duties of the job

听听听听听听 To assess, diagnose, treat, refer or signpost patients/service users who attend the surgery with undifferentiated or undiagnosed condition relating to minor illness or minor injury.

听听听听听听 To coordinate telephone triage, taking clinical responsibility for all patients who have requested an urgent appointment.

听听听听听听 The role will provide a specialist Paramedic resource for health care professionals and service users, working in collaboration with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team.

听听听听听听 To work within practices as an autonomous, accountable Paramedic, in the provision of a holistic approach for individuals including assessment, diagnosis and treatment to deliver quality patient services.

听听听听听听 The post holder will use advanced clinical skills to provide education to patients and service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment.

听听听听听听 To perform any other clinical and clinical administrative duties where trained and determined safe to do so by the partners. This may include assisting with medical reports, safeguarding, and clinic support.

  • BSc in Paramedic Science or IHCD Paramedic
  • Five years post registration
