Due to the creation of the new M-block we are looking for a Band 4 associate practitioner to join the general medical team.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To work under indirect supervision of physiotherapists in providing a high standard physiotherapy service across the medical team.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Assist in the provision of care to patients, supported and supervised by a senior physiotherapist.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý To manage physiotherapy inpatient handovers on medical wards, prioritising and delegating where necessary.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Once competent to carry out an initial assessment of a patient with non-complex needs using an assessment proforma. This will include the gathering of history and physical examination in order to plan and deliver an effective physiotherapy intervention.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Carry out clinical tasks, such as prescribe, teach, review and adapt exercises for patients to optimise rehabilitation and maintenance on discharge.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Carry out clinical assessments independently such as range of movement, risk assessments, stairs assessment and discharge.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Monitor stock of disposable physiotherapy equipment and liaise with the Ward clerk re ordering items.

·ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Contribute to the induction of new physiotherapists and physiotherapy students to the medical team.
