Applications are invited for this Trust Doctor Post in Paediatrics (ST4-8 level) working alongside a well-established team which includes other Resident Doctors at ST 1–2 level, 9 middle grade ST3-7 Specialist registrars and 1 Specialty doctor.
This post is initially for a fixed term period until September 2025, with possibility to extend.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder’s main duties are to provide to the consultants and middle grade doctors and include (depending upon experience):
- In-patient care and ward rounds
- Attendance at Outpatient clinics
- Take part in the Paediatric registrar rota
- Cover for ST 4-8 trainees when they are absent on annual or study leave
- Covering other absences within firms (depending upon experience)
- Teaching and education of medical students and other staff
- Audit

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post-holder will work as part of the above team, with rotation between consultant teams to allow for a spread of experience. Whilst the needs of the service are paramount, individual training needs are taken into account in the job plans.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Full registration and a Licence to practice with the GMC
- Evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies by time of appointment in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice.
- Up to date APLS/EPLS and NLS
Experience

- Experience working in the UK

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
