Job overview
We are looking for a Catering Driver to join our Catering Team at St Nicholas Hospital in Gosforth, Newcastle.聽
This will be offered as 30 hours per week (Part Time) working 7:30am to 3:30pm every Monday and Tuesday, alternate Thursday/Friday and Saturday/Sunday, off every Wednesday.
Main duties of the job
聽The main duties of the role will include;
Delivering food provisions across all CNTW sites.
The provision of catering services to patients, staff and visitors.
Food preparation, packing, cooking & serving.
Cleaning tasks, washing pans, equipment, floors, etc. This may include the use of machinery.
Applicants must possess a full UK driving licence which permits the driving of a 15 seater mini bus and long trailer (3.5 tonne maximum weight).

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to a good level of GCSE Education
- Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate or Diploma or will be required to obtain one within first 6 months of appointment.
- Valid Driving licence for relevant classes of vehicle, eg with the capacity to drive a 3.5 ton tail lift

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
